I ran this as a duet for a friend and then we immediately swapped playbooks and went for another round. Fantastic game, really tense and fun. We both got spooked! Do give this a try, its really solid, thematic and takes about an hour to play (which is a great length).
And both games created very different stories! One was more about being stalked by something trying to rip off your flesh, the other was more liminal and psychological.
This game is tense. It sets my teeth on edge. Thankfully, that's what it's trying to do.
Murderous Ghosts is beautiful and simple and I always make sure I have a copy of each book in my bag. Like it's PbtA cousins, it's a no-prep, follow-the-instructions start that helps you get rolling into play quickly. It plays explicitly into pushing your luck, and the text isn't lying when it says your chances of survival aren't good, but that's all part of the fun.
I'm play MurGho on nights without power, at my kitchen table, and over brunch in a busy cafe. Each time it's given me a spooky tale that I've remembered fondly.
For $10, to have an on-the-go game I can pull out at any spooky time with any number of spooky people? Any time.

Thank you for providing community copies! I work at a library and intend to play this at some future teen gatherings. :)
This is - bar none - the scariest game I've ever played.
This sounds absolutely brilliant. is there any possibility of some more community copies coming soon?
Im intrigued, but money is tight at present... Any chance for Community Copies in the near future?
Yeah, tight all around. Good idea! We've added some.
